How To Crochet Ponytail Ear Savers for Masks!

Face masks are now the new normal and I don’t know about you but they are killing my ears! I have created some pattens for ear saves. This one was designed for those who have to wear their hair up.

These ear savers are made using 100% cotton yarn so that they are machine washable when washed on 30. They should not be tumble dried but lay out flat to dry. Any buttons can be used to create these!

You Will Need:

  • 5.5mm hook
  • Medium Weighted Yarn (preferably cotton) I used two different colours
  • Sewing Needle
  • Scissors

Abbreviations:

  • ch. – chain.
  • sc – sc.
  • slst. – slip stitch.
  • st. – stitches.
  • sk. -skip stitched

Round 1: ch. 25 and from the 2nd ch from the hook 24 sc ch.1 and turn!

Round 2: sc in the next 5 st, ch 14 and sk 14 st and sc 4 in the last 5 stitch. ch.1 and turn.

Round 3: 5 sc in the next 5 st. 14 sc along chained row, 5sc in last 5 stitches.
